Install the programming software above STEP7V5.1 in the computer, insert the CP5611 card into the PCI bus slot of the computer, and install the driver.
• Open Step7V5.2 software, click Option-->SetPG/PCInterface menu, as shown below:
• Select CP5611 (MPI) in the pop-up SetPG/PC Interface window, as shown below, click the Properties... button:
• Select "PG/PCistheonlymasteronthebus" and click "OK" to confirm, as shown below:
• Click on the Diagnostics... button to enter the test interface:
• Select the “PROFIBUS/MPINetWorkDiagnostics†tab, click the Test button, and the word “OK†appears in the right window, and the words “Red†in the box below indicate that the first test passed.
• Select the “Hardware†tab, click the “Test†button, the word “OK†appears in the right window, three OK words appear in the lower window, and the word “E†appears in the bottom window to indicate that the second test passed .
• Go back to the PROFIBUS/MPINetworkDiagnostics tab and click on the "Read" button at the bottom. A checkmark appears at the location of "BUSNODE" 0-0. The third test passes, as shown in the following figure.
• Connect the CP5611 card to the S7-300 CPU. Click the button in the red circle as shown in the following figure. The data in the red line in the following figure appears. The test in the fourth step passes and the test is completed.
If you press the above test anomaly, you can replace the CP5611 on a different PCI slot or test on a different computer to see if there is a problem with the CP5611 itself. Due to the different configuration of the computer system and the use of the slot, some PCI slots conflict with the CP5611.
